Funny enough, it was my birthday weekend, so I couldn’t miss the bloom for this one. As I posed for birthday pictures with the blossoms, the rain gave way to cloudy skies and patchy sun. They smelled of spring majesty; the Willamette river added a gentle ambiance. I busted out my one-of-a-kind Strangecult creepers for this moment. But, the most profound takeaway from my beautiful birthday morning was that I had embraced a season I typically loathed due to allergies and the absence of nature. I will carry the vibrant energy of Ostara with me through the next solstice.
